I walked into Race Pace Cyclery knowing the type of riding I wanted to do but not the bike I wanted to buy. The owner asked a few insightful questions (slow to speak but quick to listen) and made his recommendation. He never tried to upsell me above my budget.

I wanted to shop around at other bike shops and educate myself online. Throughout my process, I visited the Race Pace Cyclery four times and called twice asking questions and making comparisons. I ended up purchasing his original suggestion and after a month of riding (170+miles) I love the bike and couldn’t be happier.

Great customer service with highest quality repairs and tune-ups. Michael’s passion and knowledge of the sport shows in the integrity and professionalism of his work. We are avid riders from Libertyville and Race Pace has become our number one spot for service or new bikes. A friend of mine was having issues with local bike shops near him in Highland Park. Although it’s a long drive, I recommended he try Race Pace. He was very pleased with the quality of the service and plans to return in the future.
